The action

The award-winning home boasts a rooftop patio.

The house had been listed previously for one month, for $200,000 more. The buyers' agent, Shawn Lee, says his clients immediately fell in love with it, but not wanting to appear too eager, they waited a week before writing an offer. “Negotiations were a little tricky with the seller being out of the country,” Mr. Lee says.

The agent’s take

“Unique homes like this are a rare find in Vancouver,” Mr. Lee says. “Our buyers wanted to downsize from their west-side home and live the Main Street lifestyle.” The house is within steps of shops and restaurants.
