Listing agent: Dino Capocci, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: There were a couple of ownership opportunities this October in this converted mansion just north of St. George subway station. This one-bedroom-plus-den unit was the scene of a staged preview event to give shoppers extra time to deliberate. By the third day on the market, four offers came through.

"The open house Sunday – before it was officially listed – had over 45 people," agent Dino Capocci said. "Some people were lined up outside even, it felt like last spring."

What They Got: The historic Powell House was built around 1907 but was converted and expanded to accommodate 41 condominium suites in the 1980s.

In the newer wing, this 800-square-foot suite was designed with an open living and dining area with an enclosed den and updated kitchen to one side. On the other are sliding doors to a balcony with a second exit off the bedroom.

A locker and parking complete the unit. Monthly fees of $932 pays for utilities, cable, an on-site gym and rooftop terrace.

The Agent's Take: "It's a heritage building, so it's got a lot of charm and the location is second to none," Mr. Capocci said. "The other big feature was it has a large, double terrace about 30 feet long."
