IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Instead of starting something new this year try dusting off a project you began, and then abandoned, way back and see if you can make it work this time. It may surprise you to find, with the extra experience you now have, how easily it comes to you.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

If you limit yourself to one way of doing a job this weekend you will quickly get bored, so keep yourself interested by varying your routine and trying new methods. They say a change is as good as a rest, so why not put it to the test?

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

You won’t find it hard to knuckle down and get things done over the next 48 hours, but once you have got them done you must forget about work and do something more enjoyable, something that involves people who never fail to make you laugh.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

If you spend all your time working this weekend you may give loved ones and people who value your company the impression that you don’t want to see them. You must find time to have fun on a one-to-one and social level.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

No one expects you to be perfect, so why expect it of yourself? The lesson of the stars this weekend is that you need to let go of the unreasonable expectations you have for yourself. Be who you are, not who you think you should be.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

If you want someone to do you a favour then you will need to flatter them shamelessly. Fortunately, that is something you are good at, so lay it on thick and get whatever it is you desire in return. It’s a perfectly fair exchange.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

You may have to shut yourself away and be unsociable for a while this weekend but you really do need to concentrate and finish what you have started. There will be time for celebrations later – now you must knuckle down and get it done.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Try not to get caught up in the mechanics of making money. Yes, of course, those bits of green paper with numbers on them can be very handy to have but there are many more important things in life. The people you love for a start.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

It may be the case that a friend or work colleague is holding out on you but is it important? There is precious little they can do or say to harm you – and that’s not their intention anyway – so don’t make a big issue of it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

Someone with a lot more experience than you will offer to show you how to do something this weekend and if you are smart you will watch, listen and learn. It won’t be long before you are passing this knowledge on to other people.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

It’s no big deal if you fall behind in your schedule over the next 48 hours, so don’t strive too hard to stay on top of what you should be doing. Most likely you have set yourself targets that are unnecessarily tough – it’s something you do too often.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

You may want to let your heart to rule your head but you know if you do you will lose out financially. Where business and money matters are concerned personal feelings must not be allowed to come into it. It’s all about the bottom line.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

Don’t make any hard or fast plans for the weekend because almost certainly you will have to change them at some stage. If a friend or family member suggests you go off in a radically new direction you should agree with them. It’s time for a new adventure.
