IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

There will be times over the year ahead when you wish those around you were a little more open in the way they think and communicate, but you have to accept that not everyone can be like you. Do wonderful things – so they can learn from your example.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

Not everyone will approve of what you do over the next few days, but why should that worry you? Don’t make things difficult for yourself by trying to tailor your actions to suit other people – that will just encourage them to oppose you even more.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

Travel arrangements are likely to go awry over the next 24 hours, so give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination. If possible, keep your journeys short. If that isn’t possible, make sure you have your route sorted out well in advance.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

A financial loss of some sort may seem a big deal to you now but it won’t be long before you realize it is really quite trivial and not worth getting worked up about. The one thing you must not do is fall out with a friend over money.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

Someone who thinks the world of you will make you happy today, simply by telling you what a special person you are to them. Make sure they know how much you appreciate them as well. When was the last time you let your feelings show?

Leo (July 24 - Aug. 23):

Take note of the little things that happen today because it’s likely the universe is trying to tell you something and the messages it sends may not be obvious. You need to be subtle, not just in the way you think but in the way you act as well.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

Don’t leave partners and colleagues guessing what it is you expect of them. This is one of those days when you need to spell things out for them in words of three syllables or less. Neither you nor they can afford any major misunderstandings.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Someone is getting on your nerves with their constant complaining and at some point today you must let them know, forcefully, that you’ve had enough. You can be a bit sharp-tongued when the mod takes you, and it will most likely take you today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

Okay, so you have almost zero enthusiasm for what you are expected to do, but you know you have to do it anyway, so make a good job of it. Try pretending that it is the most amazing thing you have ever done – it will make it much easier.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

You are in no mood to waste time on fools and anyone who tries to get you interested in trivial matters must be told in no uncertain terms to get lost. Do you really need to be that brutal? Sadly, on this occasion, it’s the only way.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

If someone you respect says something that hurts you today don’t automatically assume they have turned against you. It may just be that they don’t realize how sensitive you are about certain issues. Maybe, just maybe, it’s you who needs to toughen up a bit.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Do not – repeat, not – even think about cutting corners or taking the easy way out over the next 24 hours. If you have been entrusted with a task of some kind it is because others know you will give it 100 per cent. Don’t disappoint them.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

Some people will say that you are dreaming your life away, and they may even be right, but don’t stop. You are at your best when you give your imagination its head, so by all means let your mind go where it pleases – and something very pleasing will occur.
