IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

If you want to taste success this year you must first see your situation for what it is, as opposed to what you would like it to be. Life is simple to understand when you take off the blinkers and accept what is in front of your eyes.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

If a friend goes to the trouble of offering you advice today you must go to the trouble of listening, even if turns out to be the opposite of what you were hoping to hear. Chances are they can see things a lot more clearly than you.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

You have no alternative now but to get tough with someone who has been giving you a hard time of late. Employers and work colleagues are watching the situation closely and will respect you more if you show you are prepared to stand up for yourself.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

This is an important time for career matters and if you pull out all the stops on the work front today and over the weekend you will make yourself some useful allies. Show you are the best at what you do. Others know quality when they see it.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

You have too much work on your plate as it is, so don’t agree to do even more today. You may not want to let friends and co-workers down but they have no right to expect you to work yourself into the ground, so don’t expect it of yourself.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

Someone will try to make you feel guilty about a task that failed to live up to expectations, but they can only succeed by glossing over the fact that they were equally responsible for what went wrong. Don’t let them make you the scapegoat.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

Try not to worry so much. The more time and energy you spend dreading the future the less time and energy you will have to create a tomorrow that is visibly better than today. Worry is a useless emotion, so get past it soonest.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Routine activities may be a major turnoff but the planets insist you need to make a serious effort to catch up on the backlog of jobs you never quite got round to finishing. If you don’t make that effort now they may never get done.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

You may be eager to experience new things but the planets warn that in some areas it might be wiser to stick with what you know and trust. Both creatively and romantically you have a lot to gain but also a lot to lose, so avoid extremes.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

Be open and honest about what it is you desire because there is every chance that some kind person will hand it to you on a plate. Don’t be shy: speak up and let the whole world know what they can do to put a smile on your face.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

You must give 100 per cent to what you are working on today, even if your interest is fading fast. Important people are watching closely to see if your commitment is as solid now as it has been in the past. You may have to put on an act.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

It’s great that you want to do things for other people but don’t run yourself into the ground. Also, don’t be too generous when it comes to giving people money, either as a gift or as a loan. You’re not exactly cash rich are you Aquarius?

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

Don’t worry too much if you fall out with a friend either today or over the weekend. Most likely it will be over something quite minor and you will be the best of chums again come the start of next week. There should be no lasting harm.
