IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

You may be eager to make more of your talents, and make money from them, but don’t try to do it all on your own. Your task for the coming year is to make strategic alliances with people who both need your assistance and can help you as well.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

The world will be impressed by your can-do attitude this weekend. No task will be too much for you and friends and family alike will turn to you first for assistance. Just be careful you don’t end up doing things they should be taking care of themselves.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

You may have to call on a well-connected friend for assistance over the next 48 hours, but make sure it sounds like a request and not an order. They are under no obligation to rescue you from your own mistakes, so you must ask nicely.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

Don’t let friends and work colleagues tempt you into doing things that don’t feel right. If someone says you have no alternative but to follow a certain course of action, take a time out and investigate for yourself. There could be better options.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

It may seem as if the odds are stacked against you at the moment but it’s probably not as bad as you think. Besides, Cancer is a cardinal sign and you tend to do your best work when under pressure. Show the world you mean business this weekend.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes that will affect what happens later in the month, so hold off from making any hard and fast decisions. Everything will be revealed when the time is right, and that time is almost here.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

Put your own needs first this weekend and ignore those who say you are being selfish or that you don’t care about other people’s needs. Of course you care, but you won’t be much use to them unless you are happy with your own situation.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

The more someone says you can trust them this weekend the more likely it is they are hoping to get rich, or get ahead on the work front, at your expense. You don’t want to be suspicious but you may need to look deeper into their motives.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

You have so much to be thankful for at the moment, so why the glum face? Today’s Venus-Neptune link will encourage you to take a more positive view of life in general, which in turn will make you more upbeat about your own prospects.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

Your main task this weekend will be to calm things down on the home front, which is strange as it is usually you who is stirring things up! You’ve had your fill of petty disputes and could do with a bit of peace and quiet for a change.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

It’s not often you are caught out by events – usually your finger is on the pulse and you know exactly what is going on – but what happens over the next 48 hours will surprise you, and in a good way. Some surprises you don’t mind at all.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Financial matters are under good stars this weekend and if you find yourself in a position to treat someone you care for you will do so without hesitation. Money may not be able to buy love but if you’re already in love it can be a big help.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

It may be possible to protect a friend from the consequences of their actions but is that really such a good idea? You don’t want to give them the impression that you will always be there to pick up the pieces. Let them learn from their own mistakes.
