IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

You will need to tread carefully when dealing with people in positions of power over the coming year. Most likely you will be sending out vibes that give them the impression that you are after their position. It may of course be true, so learn to disguise your intentions.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

You would do well to find a quiet place and spend some time on your own as the new week begins. You need to get your thoughts together for the challenges to come as they are going to be major. Cut yourself off from the chaos for a while.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

You are, of course, entitled to your opinions but you are expecting too much if you think employers and senior colleagues are going to agree with every word you say. Speak your mind today but expect to hear a few home truths in return.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

A little co-operation will go a long way over the next few days, and today it may take you all the way to an objective that has been annoyingly elusive. Team up with like-minded people and create something together you would not be able to create on your own.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

What other people say and what other people mean may be two entirely different things today, so don’t take what you hear at face value. You may not want to be suspicious but today’s sun-Pluto link strongly suggests you need to be on your guard.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

You may be robust by nature but other people can be rather sensitive at times, so don’t be surprised if what you say to some of them provokes a negative reaction. If you want to get things done it will pay you to be a touch more tactful.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

The challenge for you now is to think with your head rather than your heart. Usually that would not be a problem but for some reason you have allowed your feelings to take control of late. You won’t get far with wishful thinking. Always be ruthlessly logical.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

You are strongly advised to get some kind of creative activity finished no later than Wednesday when the moon is new. If it is not completed by then you may find that other demands on your time mean it has to be postponed indefinitely, and that’s not good.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

Your dominant position at work or in your social circle will be challenged over the next few days and you will have to fight hard to maintain your status. You have never been one to cave in under pressure and you have no intention of starting now!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

You need to accept that there is only so much you can do on your own. Then you need to look around and find allies who can assist you in reaching your goals. In a nutshell, you must stop thinking of “me” and start thinking of “us”.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

You may think you can power your way past any and all opposition but today’s sun-Pluto link suggests that won’t be so easy. The best way to get ahead is to make strategic alliances with people who share your overall aims, even though you may differ on the details.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

The important thing now is that you stay calm and allow only good thoughts about the future to percolate through your mind. The approaching new moon will bring new opportunities and change things for you in positive ways, so there is no need to worry about anything.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

There is a personal matter, most likely to do with your family situation, that must be sorted out before you can move on with a clear conscience. Don’t be afraid to say sorry and don’t demand that others accept some of the blame – it really no longer matters.
