IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

A Mercury-Jupiter link on your birthday means you need to be on your guard against flights of fancy. You can – indeed you must – dream of achieving something big but make sure your dream is grounded in reality or you may be disappointed.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

Lay down the law to someone who has not been pulling their weight. If you don’t get tough with them today they will most likely make a mess of what they have to do tomorrow, so speak up and let them know where they are going wrong.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

Cosmic activity in the communications area of your chart makes it easy for you to win people round to your way of thinking. Use your powers of persuasion to get partners and colleagues to take care of the kind of small, detailed stuff that bores you.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

At some stage this week you will get an offer that means a lot more money but also a lot more responsibility. You can’t have the one without the other, so decide what your goals are and if you are willing to make sacrifices to reach them.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

Look out for your own interests this week and ignore those who say you should be helping other people more. You have done more than your fair share for the common good of late, so now do something for yourself. You deserve some success.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

You may be tempted to give up on something that is taking up a great deal of time and energy but don’t be hasty. Today’s Mercury-Jupiter link warns you could change your mind about it tomorrow, so play for time and give your head time to sort itself out.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

This is a great time for friendships and group activities of all kinds but don’t spread yourself too thin. Decide which projects and which relationships are most important to you and focus on them first. Some things matter and some things don’t.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

No one doubts your ambition but people in the know may doubt your ability to reach certain goals without their assistance. You don’t have to do it all by yourself Libra. Get someone in a position of authority to help you out today.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

Everything is going so well for you now and with the upcoming solar eclipse falling in one of the very best areas of your chart you can expect your good fortune to continue. You don’t really have to make much of an effort, but of course you will.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

Financial matters, especially those related to property and investments, are under excellent stars this week, so if you are minded to take some kind of risk now is as good a time as any. There are no guarantees, of course, but you could strike it rich.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

If you have fallen out with a loved one or a close friend then you need to get back on good terms with them as quickly as possible. It never hurts to say “sorry” and it won’t hurt to admit that you were the one who got it wrong.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Even if someone you work with is aggressive for no good reason today you must resist the urge to confront them because later in the week your relationship will be all smiles again. Everyone has their emotional ups and downs – including you!

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

Creatively, artistically and romantically you should be on top of your game now and the closer you get to Friday’s eclipse the more you will accomplish. Be forcefully ambitious but be nice to people too. Yes, it is possible to be both.
