wine review

There’s another side to Rioja, a white side, and it’s worth seeking out if you’re an adventurous sort. This one comes with the slightest hint of pleasant oxidation, which is a hallmark of whites from the region. Light-medium-bodied, it offers up a wonderful bouquet of almond and flavours of citrus, bruised apple and, subtly, fino sherry. Elegant, different and versatile with food, though salty tapas dishes would be particularly sublime. Available in Ontario at the price below, $29.99 in British Columbia, various prices in Alberta.
