wine review

A creamy Châteauneuf, with notes of soft strawberry, leather and licorice. Bright spice and a tingle of fresh acidity help draw out the finish. Some fine tannins sneak in under the tongue, supplying structure and cellar-worthiness. Approachable now, this could mature well for eight years. On sale in Ontario for $35.95 until Oct. 14, various prices in Alberta.
