wine review

This is the same as the standard, popular reserva cabernet from Casillero del Diablo but comes in a special limited-edition bottle depicting a devil’s head honouring Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday, which falls on Nov. 2. Medium full-bodied, this is a very dry, fresh and lively cabernet, with a combination of juicy cassis-like fruit and grainy tannic backbone along with mint, black olive and dark chocolate. Good value. Available in Ontario at the price below, various prices in Alberta.

  • Year: 2017
