wine review

A Bordeaux-style white blend composed of 80-per-cent sauvignon blanc and 20-per-cent sémillon, this is an anchor in Black Hills’ ever-expanding and intriguing wine portfolio. Steely crisp, it’s a lemon and green apple fiesta, with a subtle herbal quality and hint of lanolin. The profile is crisp but with some rounded length, perhaps partly owing to the sémillon’s fermentation in neutral oak. Available direct, www.blackhillswinery.com.
