New model launches and the reintroduction of wagon variants suggest auto makers are optimistic about the relevance of wagons in Canada

Long popular in Europe, sports sedans have experienced a steady decline in Canadian sales over the past several decades. However, they do present a unique value proposition with their ability to combine SUV-like versatility, cargo space, car-like driving dynamics and fuel economy.

While SUVs and crossovers will remain the hottest new vehicle segments for the foreseeable future, there is some resurgent optimism from auto makers toward the relevance of wagons in Canada. This has included new model launches such as the Volvo V90 Cross Country, as well as the reintroduction of wagon variants of popular models such as the Audi Allroad, which is based on the A4, or the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Wagon.

We've featured some of our favourite offers this week on sport wagons. If you don't find an offer that suits you, be sure to check out the new Globe Drive Build and Price Tool to see the latest incentives and discounts on any new car, truck or SUV.
