deals of the week

Although year-over-year sales of pickup trucks are down by five per cent in the first half of 2018, the segment still moved over 208,000 units, accounting for one in every five new vehicles sold. Additionally, pickup truck sales also made strong gains in the small to mid-size category, which grew by nearly nine per cent over the same period last year and includes models such as the Honda Ridgeline, Toyota Tacoma and GMC Canyon.

Despite the slight decline, the pickup truck segment still represents some of the bestselling vehicles in the country and is expected to expand further in the coming months as the Ford Ranger makes its Canadian comeback and the Jeep Wrangler pickup rolls into dealerships for the 2019 model year.

In the meantime, we’ve featured some of our favourite offers this week on current pickup truck models. If you don’t find an offer that suits you, be sure to check out the new Globe Drive Build and Price Tool to see the latest incentives and discounts on any new car, truck or SUV.
