Rubbermaid Seat Wedge

Rubbermaid has been organizing our lives for nearly 80 years but one place that is never tidy is that little space between the seats in the car. Dog hair, candy, lost pens, coins and of course decomposing fries from the last road trip all accumulate there and are impossible to fish out.

The Seat Wedge is a great concept to do two things: store items such as your phone or wallet and block that gap from gathering debris. However, the pair of sleeves are supposed to fit between the front seats and the console – which they do, but in the vehicles we tested them in, they either slid down or were squished too much.

If the Seat Wedge slips down, its impossible to reach. If it squishes too much, you really can’t store much more than a wallet. And, in either scenario, when the seats were moved, the sleeves went with them.

If you just want to catch food, they do the job and, like most Rubbermaid products, they wash up well. If your auto has large door pockets, the Seat Wedge is great for storing historic documents called road maps.
